sexuality and pregnancy hormones

so one minute I'm so cranky I can't see straight and the next moment I'm dragging my hubby to the bedroom (which he may or may not be too happy about since I was probably just mean to him) I'm nervous to know what next week's chapter is on because I bet that will be my weak area next week. Ah, the joys and powers of prayer.

(Sorry... I'm finally on board now. I was out of town and didn't have my book)

I think it is interesting that the week that I get involved is the week about sexuality. Ahhh...the "wifely duties." I hardly see it as a duty, but it can be hard to feel sexual and pretty and have enough energy for time between the sheets after running after a baby the whole day. And, I try so very hard, NOT to complain, not to force him to see things from my point of view, not to make him think twice about spending some time with me in the evening. Because, really, if my husband still desires me after looking like I do after I chase his child from here to there a million times in a ten hour period, then I have really should have no complaints. God's greatest gift to couples, I believe, is the ability and the desire to be intimate with one another. We have found that all aspects of our life (family life, prayer life, work life, etc) are truly in balance when we maintain regular intimacy. God has given women such a powerful tool in sex...it (indirectly) brings warmth and love to a marriage and a home. Our children benefit from their mothers who are able to put the "mother" hat away for a bit and act as loving, caring wives.

Being a newly wed and having no children at this time I can be there for my husband. Yet, three weeks ago I noticed a pattern from my hubby of: coming from work, showering and going to sleep. There has been a lot of stress at work so in this case i have been the one neglected. Initially I was very upset and after praying about it I brought it to his attention. Things are better now, but do have me in your prayers, as I also pray to God that he gives my hubby strength and desire to have our time of intimacy.

My hubby has a stressful job so I can relate Ilka. We also do not have kids yet. It just seems to go in spurts with what is going on at work.
